Using Shortcut Keys

Polarity Enterprise users can make use of system wide shortcut keys that make it easier to apply annotations, run an on-demand search of their clipboard contents or toggle highlight mode on/off.

The shortcut key bindings are slightly different depending on the OS that you're using.

Annotation Shortcut

On Windows and Linux, you can highlight text and then quickly open the Annotate window with the shortcut key: CTRL + double tap "C"

On macOS, you can highlight text and then quickly open the Annotate window with the shortcut key: Command + double tap "C"

macOS users may need to enable accessibility settings for Polarity to enable shortcut keys.

On-Demand Only Shortcut

On Windows and Linux, you can highlight text and then quickly open the Annotate window with the shortcut key: CTRL + C (Hold 2 seconds)

On macOS, you can highlight text and then quickly open the Annotate window with the shortcut key: Command + C (hold 2 seconds)

Highlight Mode Shortcut

On Windows and Linux, you can toggle the Highlight using the the shortcut key: CTRL + SHIFT + ?

Focus Mode

On Windows and Linux, you can toggle focus mode by using the the shortcut key: CTRL + ALT + A
