# Opening the Polarity Client

To open the Polarity Configuration window after it has been minimized or closed follow the below instructions depending on your operating system:

1. Click on the Polarity icon in the Menu Bar or System Tray, open the`Polarity Overlay` and click on the `Advanced Settings` button from the gear icon.

1. Click on the Polarity icon in the menu bar, open the`Polarity Overlay` and click on the `Advanced Settings` button from the gear icon.

1.Click on the Polarity icon in the menu bar, open the`Polarity Overlay` and click on the `Advanced Settings` button from the gear icon.

The Polarity desktop application will continue to run even when the Polarity configuration window is closed.

To completely exit the application navigate to the Polarity menu bar and select `File` then `Exit`.
